Sorry to hear. Audi's can be reliable, its just that they need a fairly constant influx of parts and maintenance. Why not a 2.8? Generally, they have less "isms" and maintenance needs as the 1.8?
I agree with Kris though, it would be nice if Audi would address a few of the quality control issues, so that people are not 1 time owners to the Audi experience.

Default I mentioned this very topic to the Audi board members we dined with in Geneva..
That USA customers feel abandoned by Audi when there are problems with the cars..
