it idles around 950 for about 30 se then drops to the normal warm idle of about 800 or 850 RPM. It usually warms up at about 1200 RPM. Why might this happen?

When I changed to 0w oil instead of 5w for winter I noticed my car idols much lower on cold...
morning startup. My opinion is the fuel system doesn't try as hard to pump oil through at that weight since 0w is so thin, thus I get a much lower idol as a result. So I don't really agree with the 'car idols lower as a result of how much colder it is' theory. I think the idol depends heavily on how thick the oil is in your car and how much harder the fuel system has to work to push it through. But I could be wrong.
