sorry for the n00b question but is it okay to drive with a can of seafoam added to the crankcase?

sorry for the n00b question but is it okay to drive with a can of seafoam added to the crankcase?

Default wouldn't do that if I were you. Drain it and run some fresh oil through your engine if...

you value it.

I wouldn't. I only idle for ~10m with it in the system, then drain.

Default you mean in the oil system?

that's the idea... drive it before you do an oil change.

If your intent is to burn off the SeaFoam & re-deposit sludge evenly, sure. Added wear is a plus

Not that many people did it on the B6 - most are still way below 100K miles mark.
