I have the Sparco and they were hard as heck to install...I couldn't drill completely through the pedals and the screws are not in all the way making the brake and clutch pedals loose...any suggestions? I'll even consider getting a different set of pedals.

bit thats specifically made to drill through metal, right?

Cordless drill and I guess that bit will go through metal...I saw mad shavings fall on the floor as I was drilling.

I used a bit that was for drilling through "soft metal"

did the bit drill completely through the pedal?

What size bit did you use to drill? You're supposed to tap the pedal with a 6mm x 1.00 tap. When you buy that tap, it will tell you what size metal drill bit to use with it. You first drill the hole with the bit, then you drill the tap into the hole. Then you're done, the screws should screw into there perfectly.

Make sure you have a drill bit designed for metal not wood.
