Hello all,

I've managed to lose my Workshop and spare key to my '95 A4 1.8 Autoexec...

I have had a key cut from a normal blank at the local hardware and subsequently learned that I am an idiot and need this gizmo to work the immobilizer (the blank opens the doors and swings the motor but does not deactivate the immobilizer).

I have been told that the keys from a dealer are pretty expensive and would rather disable the immobilizer (stupid, but thats my choice).

My question... is it possible to deactivate the immobilizer or how else can I get around this problem other than buying a key.

Buy a key blank on ebay.

he's in Europe and needs one that will work with the immobilizer.
