Default Spark Plug Question
Changed the plugs on my A41.8 as well as, the plugs on my gf's Passat. Still dont know what this coil pack everyone speaks of is... Mine's just consisted of 4 covers held in by 2 allen screws each. These each had a rubber plug. The spark plugs were seated right in the holes with no coil packs or anything. So what and where is the coil pack?

The coil pack is the "cover" you removed.

Haha..thanks...any reason why they call it that when they're no coils?

there are coils in there. no other way to get 12v to 20,000+ V
