speaker replacement (2000 Bose)...
Nobody in the A6 forum seems to be able to help so I thought I'd try the A4orum...
I blew the 6"ish Blose speaker in the rear door of my A6 and was wondering if an aftermarket two-way will work. Crutchfield says that it will accept a 6 3/4" two-way (with a tweeter in the middle) but I'm slightly skeptical. I know Bose uses a common ground system and I'm not sure if I could just swap two conventional two-way aftermarket speakers in there without messing something up. Can anyone advise from experience?
Would the built in crossover in the aftermarket be an issue?
