Speed Sensor Location?

Hello, I am trying to find the speed sensor on my 1998 audi a4 1.8t quattro, its not the engine sensor that goes under the coolant resovoir.

I have bought that speed sensor, and trying to figure out where to put it.

It is on the transmission output flange on the drivers side.

Correct. It is the lower of the 2 plugs on the driver side of the transmission. Just above/forward of the axle flange.

thanks guys I got it, my speedometer still going up in 2 mph increments though

good thing is my old speed sensor looked brand new and just brought it back for a full $45 refund.
