Splash Guards for 1.8T...
I saw these splash guards in the Audi accessories catalog and am thinking about ordering some... who's got them installed on their 1.8T's? I've always had cars that has splash guards and feel like my 1.8 looks naked... but how do they look with the silver exterior? I feel like it will bring out the black on the bottom and am not sure if that's a good thing...
2001 1.8T QMS

My experiences...
If you have the sports package... you will scrape the rears a little. If you have lowered suspension and 18's...you will scrape them all he time...
Then when you get the nerve to remove them. You will notice that your paint under the mudflaps is destroyed...
Don't do it unless it's absolutely necessary...

I have them on silver--
I've scraped about a half inch off the rears w/ my lowered suspension. No biggie. I've had them of since July '97 and I was able to rub out some of the scratches from the grit that gets between the flaps and fender.

Re: Splash Guards for 1.8T...
I have them. My car is red but you can get the idea by checking my registry.
I havent dragged them on anything so far and I have the "Eurosport" springs setup.
I would suggest that if you get them, also get some of the 3m film, like the clearbra/stoneguard/etc. use and put a strip around where the flaps contact the body to keep paint damage from occurring. I used the stuff at Griotsgarage.com.
2001 A4 1.8TQMS
