Re: sport package seats???
I concur with Ruben. The seats are separate from the sports package.
In my (unsolicited) opinion: Besides the sports package, I strongly recommend the addition of sport seats. The only...ONLY... regret is that I got standard seats when I bought my A4 1.8T last month. But I did get the sports package and I love it. I'm planning to call my dealer to see if they can put the sport seats in next month. Don't get me wrong, everything about my A4 is excellent. I just wish my current seats had more thigh and side support. I am used to the hard sport seats in my 97 Jetta GLX VR6.
By american car standards, the regular seats on the A4 are very firm and supportive. But, if you have back problems, like me, then I would definitely get the sport seats. On long extended drives down winding roads like northern Cal Route 1, they will pay dividends. What ever you decide, you're getting a great car.
Just my 2 cents.
99.5 1.8T QST Silver
PS - About my plan for seat upgrades....Has anyone done that with a dealership? Anyone know the $ damage? Will they take my original seats back as a "trade in" at the dealership -- it's practically new? Or, should I just go get seats from an aftermarket shop? Any seat recommendations? Thanks for your response in advance.
