Spring installation
About how much should it cost to get just 4 sport springs (lowering my A4 Sport Pkg.)? I was quoted about $250 and that seems extremly high for something that shouldnt take more then 30 min to install. Could i take it to a Jiffy lube type place and get it done well? Thanks<p>1999.5 A4 1.8T Tip.

That is actually a fair price.....
Some people get quoted as much as $600. Don't forget that alignment is "highly recommended" after changing your suspension. In other words, you are going to have to get it done as well.

I got quotes of $600 from the Audi dealer and $500-$600 from a performance shop for install and alignment. I wouldnt trust a muffler shop or oil change place with a car I didnt care about.
So if you found a place that is trustworthy to do it for that including alignment it is a great deal. Even without alignment it is fair.<p>2001 A4 1.8TQMS

I had my springs installed for $159 including tax at a local shop.

30 minutes for Superman maybe. Seriously, it takes about 45m to 1 hr per corner.
Then you still need alignment labor to pay for. $250 to do the labor is a very low price. Don't forget that even though you are only installing springs it's still the same amount of work as changing everything, you still have to take it all apart. Many shops will quote a flat 8 hr rate to do the A4 suspension, and that adds up to over $500 labor. Good luck with Jiffy Lube!
