Default hmmm...

then maybe I'll reconsider DIY on the WP/TB job later this year or early next year.

IIRC the subframe needs to drop about and inch or so to get the bolt for the lower rear arms out...that requires removing three bolts and applying leverage...best done w/two people.

BTW Replacing the sway bar links wouldn't be a bad idea either if they haven't been done yet.

Default Depends.. On our 2.8 Avant, I did not have to lower the subframe at all..

on a buddy's 1.8t, I had to pull it down with all of my might, it was at least 2 inches, and I BARELY got the bolt out.

Default I only remember dropping mine ~1 inch...

it's been about six months since I did the last of those though...I could be mistaken...I do remember us needing a 4' pipe to get enough leverage to move the subframe down far enough to get the bolt out though, so plan on needing a lot of force regardless if you've got a 1.8
