Squeaky control arm?...which one?...

I'm getting very loud squeaking noises from the front of the car and I can only assume that it is the control arm since this is a common problem. I just wanted to know which one imparticular is common to replace (ie, lower rear etc.) or does everyone usually replace all 8 control arms. Anyone?

mine is doing the same thing , 80k on the car..its annoying isnt it?

The lowers tend to go 1st.All 4 usually but you'll pay the same for all 8 as the 4 lowers.Mine=Loud

Mine was unbearable. Pulled $500 out of the emergency fund and replaced....

all of them at ECS tuning. Now it rides like new....almost. But that's the best way to fix them, replace them all. It's cheaper than replacing two at the dealer. And cheaper than playing trial and error by buying one at a time til you get it right.

it is i drove with mine like that for about 12k miles..whew glad to have gotten them replaced..

now the rear is makeing noise..lol.. or maybee i can hear it now that the front is fixed..lol..but i love it

Hey guys, i have the same problem. I had both upper rights done and the lower rear on the left side. It cost be like 450.00 for all three which i didn't think was very bad at all. I drove the car home and it was perfect i was so happy the best 450.00 i have ever spent. two days later didn't the car start singing it's same sweet song. I took it back and the guy told me he can't really figure out which one is bad. so now he's going to drop all the lower arms(He said these are the more usual ones) and inspect them. He said hopefully he can lube them up and not replace them all. It really wouldn't bother me if the sound wasn't so bad. i've been pulling into a parking lot and i saw people look at my car and point then when i drive past them they just look at me like i'm driving the biggst peice it sucks.
