Default Starting a car that has been sitting for over a yr...thoughts?

I've got new spark plugs for it, some gas line "heet" anti freeze/water absorber ****, and a qt of oil , I think I heard to pour a teaspoon full of oil into each cyl?

Anything else I'm missing? I'm not worried about the brakes or anything just the engine, I need to start the car so I can put it up on a trailer.

Actually changing the oil. I don't care how old it is, if its sat for a year its not a good idea.

Default I agree but won't be able to do that until it gets here

It's on this guys driveway with about a ft of snow and 0 degrees outside.

I could just use a winch but I still want to start it before I give him the cash.

If you are only pulling it on the trailer, I would just do what you said.

Default remove the plugs, fog the cylinders with oil, see if the starter will turn over

if that works, replace the plugs, and kick the tires and light the fires!!

Default I'm probably wrong here, but

I can't remember exactly where I heard this, or if it works for an A4, but I heard you should do this if your car has been sitting for a long time. Pull the fuel pump fuse, and then crank the engine for 10 seconds or so. Then put the fuse back in and fire it up. This brings up the oil pressure, and gets the oil flowing throughout the engine. I might be way off on this though.

Default Yeah, but it might be completely dead.

It might not just be a low charge, the battery may be incapable of accepting any charge at this point.
