Starting Up After a Year
I have a '97 1.8T, chipped, with about 40K miles on it. I've been in Ireland since last summer, and the car has been up on jackstands in my garage at home. It's got Mobil 1 synthetic oil in it. I filled the gas tank, added a gasoline stabolizer, and took the battery out when I left it. The question is how to start it up, as I'm returning home in a couple of weeks. Should I just start it normally, or is there something I should do (such as crank it with the spark disconnected) to get some oil or lubricant around before it fires up?
Thanks.
Thanks.

change the oil before you start it. pour gas down the plug holes
thats what i do with classic cars that have been sitting.
once got a ford V8 to start after it had sat for 20 years just by changing the oil and pouring gas down the plug holes
