Your budget for a whole system? Or head unit?

Default Take a look at Eclipse Car Audio products....

Some of the nest looking head units out there....sound quality is better than Alpine and other higher-end car audio products...

Eclipse Web Site

Default Yeah, don't get factory Bose!

Having a hell of a time trying to integrate my Eclipse head unit in with the factory Bose system. If the car you are looking at isn't equipped with Bose, be glad.

Hmmm... With $300 to $400 to spend, you can definitely get something nice. As audiquattroman mentioned, definitely look into Eclipse! Good stuff for sure!

Default eclipse is good stuff....but from what i'm hearing less and less shops are willing to work with them

because their customer service just plain sucks.

Default I've heard that too...

Never dealt with them personally so I can't really say, but I definitely dig their products!

The JVC KD SH 909 is a good head unit. It is a cd and mp3 player. It has a decent pre amp also 50x4 I think.
