Stereo wiring wierdness... missing wires
So, I've been trying to track down a new right rear speaker for my car for a few weeks now, as I had noticed while riding in the back of my car for the first time ever (I've owned the car for almost 2 years), that one speaker was out. Tonight I decided to pull everything apart and check out the speaker itself. Earlier I had tested the power going to the 2 wires in a blue connector that was right next to the speaker (which I thus assumed was for the speaker) After having it all apart, it turns out that the blue connector goes to the light on the end of the door, and hidden under that connector is a much smaller, black connector that is for the speaker- and there is nothing to connect to it.... hmm, I wonder, that's strange. I look on the other side, and sure enough there are wires to that side. The wiring on the right side does not exist in my car- there is a 6 prong plug in the door, of which 4 slots should be filled, yet on the right only 2 are. Somewhere along the line, either the wires were removed, or they were never there in the first place?!? Yeah for quality control... anyway, I have to find a way to make up some wiring to work inside the plug in the door.
sorry for the long post... I am kind of baffled by this
