Default stock vaccum at idle/stock boost

I just added a boost gauge and i was wondering what was normal.

i see about 12-13 inches at idle, and at max boost i see about 7psi, maybe 7.5

stock except for a k&n filter.

thanks

Default seems low....

esp the vac. i see 23-24 in/hg at idle, but im hgher than most it seems, normal ive seen is 17-20. and when i was stock id see a 10-11 psi spike and it would settle in at 7-8.
oh and what year are you? if you are '01 or '01.5 i belive stock boost is higher (170 hp engine) its a 12-13 psi spike with a 10-11 psi hold IIRC.
sounds like you might have a small boost leak?

Default I believe you have a leak, those numbers aren't what they should be

I see about 25-30Hg/in at idle. And stock boost should be between 8-12 at WOT. I cna't remeber the exact numbers but those are off so I'm saying you have a leak. Time to trace your lines!

Default Those seem a bit high, unless your well below sea level

or increased your CR to about 10:1 or higher. Stock vac should be around 20 and during coasting in gear it should be 25. But #'s will change with elevations.

Default i get 23-24 at idle and 28 or so coasting in gear....

im right at sea level.
my gauge might be off by 1/2 of a "mark" though
so 22.5-23.5, that seems ok, yes?
I did a compression test and i get 180-190 psi across the board.
