stoptech problem continued
Take a look at the circled area and you can see the space between the pad backing plate and the retaining clip. I had the same thing happen on one of my APR/Stoptech calipers. What happens is that the pad is allowed to move up and down slightly in the caliper giving creating a rattling sound and a noticable clunk on braking.
Often you can adjust the clip in the caliper and/or the retaining spring in the caliper bridge to solve the problem.
