Stratmosphere's Hyperboost Diverter Valve... It's Rocks!!!! Dyno info as well (Long)
Just wanted to pass along some info on a new Bypass valve I've been testing the last few days... Let's just say that I've abused the hell out of it and it's taken everything I had to give it. Garrett from GIAC (Thanks again Garrett and Andrew) finished a custom chip for my car and we installed it (Thanks Chris and Mike @ Curry's Auto in Ashburn, VA). The chip runs insane amounts of boost 1.5 through the first 3 gear (sometime a little more) and peaks of 2.0 bar in 4th and 5th. The chip is very similar (and based) on cmh's M31 chip, but works around a few bugs we've found (throttle position etc.) The M31 chip made short work of my TT bypass Valve...how's 30minutes on the track . Over the past few days this valve has been through the ringer... Alot of street testing with the M31 and newly installed chip... not a complaint! Dyno'd the car again today 187HP and 256Ft/Lbs of Torque @ the wheels. Even launched it off the dyno on an attempted 1/4 mile run (strap snapped!!), but Mike stopped it right away without a hitch. Even after all that the valve is holding no problem. I even like the sound...not sure if this is just in my car or a design feature, but it has a nice sound that includes a faint (but noticable) Pssst sound, just enough, but not ricey! Did I say it's cool Just my opinion

The valve yes..programming...GIAC, yes...this chip may not be for everyone... a little too robust
for most people..unless you have some supporting mods... K31 GIAC is a very nice chip, without the worry or expense of the added performance Mods. CJ

a few days?
IMHO metal BPVs need a lot more testing than that before they can be considered money well spent. The Bailey and Forge valves are fine until gunk builds up in them which takes hundreds of miles...then you get to remove and rebuild em.
BTW I wouldn't expect a TT valve to last that long on the track if you're running 29psi on a K04

well you could have held off on a full-blown endorsement ;)
i.e. I'd hate to see you have to eat your words if it does what some other piston-style BPVs have done in the past; if it really does a better job than the Bailey and Forge in the LOOOONG haul I'm sold....the word "Hyper-" in the name is a bit discomforting though...it's not a joint-venture with NOPI is it?
