strut brace install - Modified A4's tech article
Have an S4 strut brace on the way, 8D0805645A. ModifiedA4's tech article shows the brackets as coming from an A6, 4B0 803 357A and 4B0 803 358A. After crashing around e$ka, I found that the strut brace was used on a bunch of different models, including 98-99 A4 and Passat. But the A4 and Passat shows 8D0803357A and 8D0803358A for the brackets. Would it be possible to use the model specific brackets and not have to modify the brace??

I'll be putting mine in today, if I can get a coworker here to drill the holes for me and grind the
bar down on the edges. Painting and getting it dry afterwards may take some time. Should I use blue loc-tite on the bolts? Or would that be overkill?
The cost of the whole thing with the short bolts (4) from 1stvwparts is $125.08 including shipping (~$10).

Well. I have the red thing on my T in the badge and no sports package and I
also am missing the mentioned bar on my car. If there's a way of checking it using the VIN or something I'd be more than happy to do so.
Not knowing it correctly hurts me while buying parts and asking questions. (Somebody scraped off my trunk sticker as well... a-hole)
