Suggestion for UUC: Invest in some F%$#ING thread lock!
I installed a UUC SS a few weeks ago and last week while driving I experienced complete shifter failure, ie: the entire shifter fell apart and could not get the car into any gear. Initially, I thought that it was due to me not tightening the bolt that connects the horizontal shaft on the shifter to the transmission linkage. But after taking the entire thing apart I found that it was actually the nut that had came loose from the bolt that holds the 2 pieces of the shifter together (which UUC pre-assembled). If you've done this install you probably noticed that this nut is NOT tightened completely so that the shifter is able to pivot while you shift from gear to gear. Maybe UUC just forgot, or maybe they don't use thread lock at all on this nut. Either way, I got to fix my car on the side of the highway in pouring rain at 11pm last friday night. Thanks UUC, I suggest you invest in some thread lock for your overpriced product that you sell.

Nice! Thanks
Those are perhaps the most attractive aftermarket wheels I've seen on an A4 (IMHO of course).
What tires are you running and how do they perform in the rain (I'm considering a move to the Portland area in the near future)?
Thanks again for posting the shots of your car.
All the best,

Thanks...
They looked better on the car than I thought they would. The biggest reason I got them was because they of their low weight. I have RE730's on them right now and they're excellent in the rain. However, my next tires may be S-02 PP's just because i'm curious to see the difference. I'm in Portland also, send me an email if you end up here.

Re: Thanks...
Mentally I'm already there - I'm sitting here drinking a fine malted beverage from Oregon (Full Sail) as I browse the forum.
By the way, did you install the wheels before the suspension mods, if so how did it look then?
Take Care,

I had H&R sport springs on the car before I installed the wheels. I didn't like the the way it looked with the new wheels on. IMO, H&R sports are still too high and leave a bigger wheel gap in the front than in the rear. If I hadn't of gone with coilovers I would get Neuspeed race springs.
