Suggestions needed on shipping wheels
#3
*edit* wheels only? Get shipping boxes from any local shop that sells wheels
For heavy packages like these both UPS and FedEx shipping cost will be similar, I think.
I don't anticipate much drama if you ship them in boxes.

If they're wheels and tires both...
-Cut cardboard circles out of a square box, large enough to cover the face of the wheel.
-Then cut out an equal sized section of large bubbled bubble wrap, and tape it to the cardboard. Do this for the front and rear of the wheel (to protect the inside lip of the wheel as well).
-Rinse, repeat x4.
-Strap the cardboard to the tire with DUCT TAPE (comes off the tire a HELL of a lot easier than packing tape) in strips all around the tire.
-Rinse, repeat x4.
I shipped a set of 17x8 and 17x9.5" Borbets with heavy-*** Yokohamas from OK to MN like this for $70 (via DHL). I've shipped 4 sets of wheels, and this method is by far the cheapest.
