The sunroof on my 99 runs all the way to closed position with a nice plastic sounding pop as it raises into the final closed position, resulting in the sunroof reopening as if its was in a pinch mode. It does the same thing when it is opened fully or pivoted open. Looking at the tracks and everything else, I don't see anything that is obviously broken. Motor and controller are functioning fine. Searched the archives and did not find anything obvious. Stealerships want to replace the entire assembly at a tune of $1200+. Anyone with some ideas, or a good recommendation of a shop that might help? I'm in southeastern CT, but willing to drive just about anywhere within NE.

They are lined with plastic that breaks away. I just replaced the two on my sunroof, 99 as well. I did a writeup if you are thinking of doing it on your own. Let me know and i'll email it to you.
