Default Suspension upgrade... what to do...

Well, after reading countless posts on here and doing plenty of research, I have decided that I will be getting H&R springs and Bilstein Sport Shocks, only problem is is that I can't decide whether or not to go with H&R Race Springs and just standard Bilstein Sports, or to go w/ H&R Sport Springs and Bilstein Adjustables... I'm really stuck as to whether or not I want to pay the extra bucks for adjustable, along with not being sure if I'd need it if I go with the H&R Race Springs.

Right now I'm on stock 15"s (I be blingin'), and plan to upgrade to 18" RS4 reps within the next month or so. I would like to have a nice low look with them, and I am afraid that H&R Sports may not be low enough.

Comments and pictures are greatly appreciated.

Default have you considered adding the ECS coilover add on kit to the bilsteins

that gives you height adjustment on the bilsteins.

I think I'm going to buy that kit soon for the front of my car... as I want the front to be 1/2" lower than the rear so I sit at 25" in front and 25.5 in the rear.

Default I've considered it, but...

I decided that I wouldn't want to void the warranty on the Bilstein shocks by having to remove the serial number in order to add on the ECS coilover kit.

Default I'm running Bilstein Adj. w/ H&R sports...

I went down 1 perch in the front and left the rears alone so I can go lower if I want to. Works very well.

In order to add on the ECS coilover system to the Bilsteins you have to remove the serial badge off of the side of the shock, thus voiding the warranty. This is what I've gathered thanks to that thing people call 'Search'.

Default I am all about just going with a coilover setup....

that way you can adjust them to your liking.....and the handeling is superb.

Default Sure...

Hey, I wasn't trying to be an a$$. I have them and I really like them. They fit great, don't rattle, and give the adjustability of a coilover. I didn't buy them so I could slam my car, but just so that I could have the perfect tweaked drop. I have about 1.5 finger in the front and 1 in the rear. I had my suspension before the ECS coilovers came out, and I didn't want to buy coilovers to get the adjustability so i just bought them. Although if i was in your position before i would buy springs, shocks, and ecs cooilover kit I would add in a few extra bucks and get real coilovers.
