Takes a while to warm up?
My mom sent me an email today telling me the car died on her and it takes a while to warm up.
I've had this problem before...I'd start it, it'd shudder and die. I was told it was fuel injectors, so I added a cleaner (following directions, of course). Apparently the problem is coming back. I'm planning on taking it in for the whole timing belt/water pump tuneup very soon (right after it gets here). Any ideas what this could be?

Okay, got a few ideas...
So it could be the MAF sensor, or perhaps as Benfica said, ECT sensor, or maybe a leak in hoses between the MAF and the turbo...
Dammit, I only wish I could go home and check myself...my parents are not mechanically-inclined, so trying to explain this to them would be an exercise in futility. What I'm gathering is that it's a lack of fuel, air, or maybe something else. Does this sound right? What can I tell my folks to do to try and fix the problem? Would professional work be cheap for this? (probably not...)

It's in Virginia. I'm in Germany. Not driven daily.
But even when I was home for a few weeks, if it didn't get started overnight, the next morning it'd have the same start-shudder-die problem.
