Is there any concesus on where the best place to pick up Kinesis's would be?

I don't think it would make much of a difference...
It's not an "in stock" sort of item, even if you're ordering from Kinesis directly. Figure a 4 week delivery time. Contact SPP and see what they can do for you on price.
