Default Nice ! That 13.1 flat is like buying two grocery carts of food and having the tab come to exactly

150.00 dollars. I think that is the first slip I've ever seen that was xx.x00 That is a damn good run Ed.
What was next to you? They had a pretty good run too.

because they say the announcer was making fun of the imports =). I think it was amateur night or something. "well, there goes one of those *insert carmake here* again, *insert joke here*"

Default How heavy are those wheels you're running, Ed?

I know with my Oett's on, the car is much slower. It dropped my time 2/10ths of a second just to have 18" Fikse's on it. With the smaller rotating mass some 16's or 17's would provide, you would be in the 12's easily. You and Richard Sierra would have very similar setups, and he's run a 12.9

Default Not necessarily...

If you have near maximum power on taller gears you're going to pull more slowly through the rev range, but put that power to the ground for a slightly longer period.

Default yeah, i'd like to try dan's SSR comps but it has v700s on, i'm not sure if thats good for launching

on the sticky dragstrip. my 18s are heavier than my 25lbs 17s, so my 18s should be around 27lbs. 12s well, i'd pass by every bar on the way home if i get into that on pump gas =). still so far

Default Yeah, I didn't switch to the Fikse's when I went to the strip last time, because they had...

245 R compound tires on them. I was afraid that would kill my launches. But you never know, Mark Bradford runs R comps on his 17" Superlegerra's at the strip. He said he bogged his launches and still got a 1.9 60 ft. Personally I like to run the tire pressure up around 41psi to insure a little wheel spin. Maybe if you jacked the tire pressure on the victoracers to about 50psi that would help negate their effects.

Default I start the next gear at 5k, it has a good thrust after a slight hesitation which i'm still figuring

out which component is making the reaction slow. cant be the turbo coming out from 7k, could be the BPV, FMIC, clutch or the nDBW software. i've noticed this since the k04

My bet would be FMIC, but it could be any of those, you're right.

Default actually, i think the v700 will slip all the way once you get them spinning considering that they

are more worn because of weekend races, it takes a hot lap to get them into operating temp too. my street Falkens has a high longitudinal grip rating (i read) and softer compound which is more difficult to spin on good pavement. i ran 45psi on these on that last run just to beat the quattro =)
