i would like to save some weight, especially places far from the center of gravity.

Sound system is a good place to start. Replace moonroof with CF panel. Gutt a/c & door panels.

Just curious, how much weight would taking the moonroof out and replacing with CF save?

Default rims/tires and uber expensive 2-piece brake rotors, 1/8 tank of fuel on race day.....

removing the A/C compressor is only going to save you about 5-10lbs and who wants to live without A/C???

Default 40-50 Lbs about I would think.

The mechanical aspect plus the weight of the glass have to add up. The location of that weight in relation to the center of gravity is also another factor to consider.

Default $$ can create anything. Cost was never mentioned here in the weight reduction.

I think Phil was talking about this the other day to IIRC.
