Default For those with Recaros in their A4....

I just finished installing Recaro Sports into my 98 A4 1.8TQM. I got ones with black alcantara centers and black vinyl. Really nice seats. They are driver/passenger specific (because the inflatable bladder bulb is located in different spots). They list for $845 each.

I used Recaro sliders, and SPP seat brackets. I don't have the correct airbag resistors (now on order) so I have an airbag light on.

Anyhow, my issue is...even all the way forward on the sliders, the seat is not close enough for the wife to drive the car. All the way forward is perfect for me (I'm 5'10").

Anyone else have a problem as I'm describing? I'm wondering if I have to spring for the Recaro-made seat mounting bracket instead.

Default I can't remember the brand of brackets/sliders I have...

but I can adjust the brackets with the factory pin/spring very close to the wheel. And then The sliders can get the seats even closer than that. I hope that makes sense.

Default yes i have some

i have the recaro srds in my car, and yes i have the same problem with my sliders, i keep them all the way forward and it is barely forward enough for my fiance to drive. The farthest forward i can get them to go is if i push my seat belt release twoards the armrest and move the chair all the way forward. only way of making them go farther i think is have the brackets lengthened, i dont know why they arent made that way to begin with cause theres a ton of room to work with.
