Default For those who had the dreaded "control arm" problems (97-98.5 model years)
When you first notice it...did your control arms make a "creaking" "groaning" sound while cruising ssllllllooooooowwwwwwwwllllllllly, or making a turn?? Under braking?? Under acceleration (but, not at highway speed)??

Why I'm asking...because when I take "mr. squeaky" to the dealership this afternoon, I would like to be able to suggest to them where to start looking first.

Default Yeah, it was a creaking/groaning, at slow speeds and turning
Have em check the control arms. Sounds like yours are gone Sorry man!

Default Audi Avantage warranty...expires 5 years, or 75k, from when the car was in-service
so, basically, the warranty expires in February
