Thule roof rack installed...pretty noisy...
Installed my Thule bike rack last night.
Two things that I am concerned about:
Will there be wear & tear on the door rubber seals where the roof rack attaches? Has anyone seen leaks?
Also, I thought that the rack is really noisy! We had the rack on an accord befor and it seemed to be quiter. There are 2 bike racks on it.
Did anyone out there have experience on how the empty rack effects fuel efficiency?
Thanks,
Patrik

yes yes I have =)
The rack isnt that bad in terms of noise. Do you have the deflector/fairing on it? If so just close the sunshade in the car.
In terms of MPG i have had mixed results. Sometimes the rack has been minimal (1-2 mpg) and sometimes it has knocked me down (4-5 mpg, at HIGHer speeds)

i have a thule... no leakage, and minimal noise with fairing (unless my snowboard attachment is on)
i hope the rubber door seals dont crease, crack, or get torn due to the feet clips... but man, does it look good with the rack or what?!

I had a small leak after I put mine on, but it is gone now...
I have heard people recommending to take the rack off the car when not in use. This seems like a pain to do, so I will keep it on during ski season. I agree with the noise factor, try I fairing.
