Longwolf (Christian)

I have Kumhos on my B5, and contis on my B6. I want a good, quite summer tire to replace the tires on both cars. So far, folks on the tire forum have suggested the following tires:

-Avon TechM500: $114 at tirerack...good deal and good reviews
-Falken ST115: Discount and Tire Rack do not carry this brand...don't know where else to look.
-ContiSportContact2: $168 @ Tire Rack ...a little more than I wanted to spend
-Dunlop SP9000: $158 @ Tire Rack ...a little more than I wanted to spend

What do you guys think?

Even though these tires might prove to be competitive, I personally would not be a guinea pig. The three user reviews are less than 2 weeks old.

If you can wait awhile - I would get the new Toyo T1-R. They've been released in Canada and are due here soon I think. They have a newly designed shoulder/rib pattern which is supposed to reduce noise in the latter stages of the tire's life.

I have the Kumho MXs now and they have been relatively quite for 10,000 miles.

Avon actually gets pretty good reviews in the UK. They're generally ranked higher than Kumho.
