Default Time for tires...Opinions?

I've searched the forum for the past hour and it seems the general consensus is that the Dunlop SP 5000 & SP 8000 are the most popular? I live in ATL so no snow to speak of...and I can't afford to drop $200+ a tire. I have an '01 1.8TQ Sport Pkg. btw.

Default no snow? kumho ecsta supra 712s are a popular, low-price tire (wet/dry only, no snow)

If he's got 17" rims, then S03s are only $155/tire. Even less if he's got 16" rims.

I guess you have 16s, yes? The sky is the limit - it's tough to spend 200 on a 16.
