Default Timing belt change costs

How much have people paid to get their TB changed?

Im not that mechanically inclined to do it myself so I'd be taking it somewhere and wanted to know peoples costs.

Default $800?!?!?!? not a chance I would pay that....

... not that I would pay anyone but the parts are less than $250 and the job can be done in a few hours.

Default Where you located?

hehehehehehe, get the parts and find someone with a pair of nuts the size of softballs...

I just did mine this passed weekend, was a hefty job, but pretty streight forward (thanks to the tech articles)

Figure parts costs of around $250-300 (if they're changing the tenioner/rollers too) plus 6-8 hours of labor (at whatever their hourly rate is).

Cheers,

C

Default Don't take it to E&C in Reseda. HORRIBLE customer service.

I've heard good things about Eurotech (West LA) or Ingolstadt West (Canoga Park).
