Default I don't understand why they didn't build in an override in the A4...

In the S, the compressor shuts off when you're at WOT, and turns back on automatically, when you ease up. Would have been a nice feature to add to the A4.

Default I was told that the A4s have that feature too.

I never really noticed it though.

Default I've heard that the A4 also has this feature, but I've never paid enough attention to verify...

or it just has a certain delay that by the time the compressors shuts off, you're already done WOTing.

Default Reduces 5-10hp of drive-train loss...

here what SPP says:
<i>"Developed and race tested on the Intrax A4 Race car, we are proud to announce the SPP EFK. Unlike other products that add more hp, the EFK uses a different approach by reducing a solid 5-10hp of drive-train loss throughout the removal of the high spinning fan and heavy fan clutch translating into more hp at the wheels! With the SPP EFK, you will be confident that the cooling capacity offered in our kit has been tested in the most severe conditions of racing and is more than durable for the street. This adds improved throttle response, cooling, and hp." </i>

Default better belive it......it's not 5-10hp all the time...

it's only when the fan clutch <b>would</b> have been engaged. Therefore, it's like not loosing 5-10hp on hot days (when the fan is on high) and when the a/c is on.
see...

Default That's just it, I don't. Truth be told, I can't even tell when my belt driven fan comes on..

Granted, I have a 2.8 with real all the time torque (ie, any drag from the belt driven fan is not compounded by not being on boost)..

I can hear it though, so I know it's working when it does.
