is it too late to debadge my car without gettin paint shadows? (black car, 70,000 miles)

Because it's easier to wax. And I it's excess baggage, and ruins the aerodynamics.
;-) Well I don't know about the aerodynamics or weight. I just got sick of trying to wax around that crap.

I debadged a black '96 (in summer 2003).. no fading at all.
modern paints barely fade at all compared to old stuff... this car wasn't very well taken care of, but there was still no sign of fading after 8 years.

After viewing this post I just debadged my silver with 100k on it. Details inside...
No shadows or paint issues.
Here is what I did...
Heated it up with hairdryer and used floss to remove the badges.. now the fun part.
1. Used goo gone or something simmilar (it was cheap and it sucked) Some kinda all natural citirus stuff.
2. Rubbed forever to get the glue off.
(now for the good stuff.)
- Here is how to get rid of the shadows and crap...
1.Clay bar (use the lube also) rub on it with it for a while...
2. Use "paint cleaner" I like the meguairs deep crystal stuff..just normal clear coat safe paint cleaner. Put that on a pad and rub the **** outta it. Do it about 2-3 times. (You could probably get away with just the paint cleaner but the clay bar makes it a little easier.)
Wipe it clean and then wax it. Mine looks good as new. ( I have found that the nails on my fingers work better than anything else for scraping the glue off.)
Use a combo of paint cleaner and claybar to remove any caked in residue, shadows or unsmoothness.
