Just did(well, almost) a driver side CV. started at 1pm work till 8pm till it rained. Struggled for 1 hour on the ultra tight axle bolt. 4.5 hr for the stupid upper control arm bolt. And still haven't bolt everything back yet. And the battary's dead too because I left a key in ignition, DRL drained it all. Need to ride my bicycle to the auto shop tomorrow to pick up some tools that I broke. geez
oh and I still need to clean up all those grese in my living room. real nice.

I think I'm gonna have mine done for me
while the prospect of changing that boot is well within my capabilities.... and I do have the parts here too.... the greasy messyness is well... not too tempting.
I can pay $65 and have it rebuilt by a place we send axles to at my dealership... or I can have a friend do it for me for a case of his fav brew.

next time use some pb blaster on the control arm bolts
the night before to help free them up. Also have a long pipe handy tp put over your breaker bar for the axle bolt, the extra leverage makes it pop loose much easier.
