tranny is shifting hard! i have an auto but from 2nd to 3th it hits hard, any ideas??

Default Where to start. . .
Fluid been changed recently? Been driving it hard lately? Syncros could be going, and that's when you go find a rebuilt tranny.

Default My tip shifts hard a lot.. Not hard but it's noticable...
I bought my car used with 79k on the odo. Usually you can feel it downshifting into 1st, or upshifting into 3rd. If my battery dies, it seems to shift much smoother for a while. I assumed it was normal...you think my tranny could be going? As far as fluids, I'm not sure what the previous owner did.

It never hurts to start with a fluid flush and filter replacement done on it.

let up on the gas where it usualy shifts and it will smooth out. just a temp. fix
