Trans code really matter? DDT
The DDT transmission in my A4 is blown, can any other trans be used (maybe update ECU with VAG cable? Rebuild looks cost prohibitive so I am looking at used transmissions.

So there is NO compatibility between trans codes? I found a trans out of a 99 A4 (5HP-19 FL. ,FT 9012225 3613, 0 021 -2343 , 0268966, 030021).
