Transmission problems

I've got a '98 A4 2.8 quattro, tiptronic with 50k on it. For atleast the last 20k I've noticed that the car "jerks" when it is trying to shift gears, especially at low speeds and on curvy roads. Repeated trips to the dealership have lead to no answers, as they say there are no error codes. Has anybody else had a similar problem, or suggestions?

I have a 1996 Auto (different than the tip, I know) with 63K. My latest problem with the transmission involved a leaky gasket from a previous valve body replacement problem. Jerky downshifts, no engagement sometimes - I initially thought is was an electronic problem. Anyway, they replaced the gasket/AT fluid and everything has been ok (2 months...).

I have the 98 1.8Tip and it has been a little jerky ever since I've owned it.

I have a friend that had a 99.5 trip 1.8
The trans went out at 1200 miles they replaced the vehicle.
