Transmission problems! Please help.
97 A4 1.8TQ Auto
I am not sure what is wrong with the transmission. I had the transmission oil done about 5 months ago. Its been pretty cold -4 degrees the past few days. Car has been sitting for 2 days with a dead battery which i replaced today but the car seems to drop in rpm's when I am standing at a stoplight. When I put it in park the idle goes back to normal. While driving, the car shifts randomly and the rpm's go up to 2500 and keeps accelarating at a steady rate without slowing down.
Anyone know what this might be? I have checked the search link but found nothing helpful(unless I am typing in the wrong search words).
