As a 1.8T Passat owner, I have gotten a huge amount of relevant information, as well as humorous/interesting reading, from this site. A recent post on Vortex noted that Tech Svc Bulletins are readily available online. I wanted to point out that these are separately divided for both Audi and VW at http://tech.vw.com (in Adobe Acrobat format) - you may already be aware of this site, but I found it fascinating reading!

This appears to be a complete list of service bulletins. I wish I had access to this information before my warranty expired. Of particular interest is the bulletin for reprogramming the central locking system. It states that this is covered under warranty one time only. They can replace your ECM, whic I assume would undo any potential chipping that had been done... Hmm...
