Default No slots cut in manifold...that'll last long....

you need slots in that manifold otherwise the heat will make it distort, possibly loosen bolts or pull out studs.

Default Cylinder 4 sure seems to have to travel a long way to get to the turbo.

Do they have any "TRUE" results from chaning out the manifold. Only reason I would change mine out on my car with the K04 is to move the boost lag up more in the rpms, so I could hold boost in the higher rpms where the K04 seems to die out by 4K on my 2 liter.

BTW if you look at the manifold, how exactly do they expect to put the 3 stock long turbo bolts in since the pipes are in the way. I dont think I would want to put studs in since the K03/K04 seem to get very hot at those spots.

Wouldn't be that hard to cut them, would it?

Default Agreed, I would think a proper design would have equal length runners.

Equally spaced exhaust pulse timing has benefits.

Moves the power up in the rev band tho. Unequal length has benefits down low IIRC.

iirc in a turbo engine minimizing manifold volume is more important.

Default I think it depends on what your trying to do.

Changing the volume size of themanifold will change the lag of the turbo. If I was to do a custom manifold in my car at this time I would do one with equal length runners to give me more power in the high rpms since I am looking to make 400+ hp.
