I assumed it pops out everytime i use the spray for the windshield wipers, but apparently it doesn't.

Default You are talking about the headlight washers right?

Yes they do pop up when your headlights are on and you hold the washer thing-a-ma-jig on the wiper stalk for 3 seconds.. it is quite visible cuz you see this horrid mist fly up over the front of your hood<p>- <a href="mailto:adhand@san.rr.com">Anand Dhanda</a>

But you take the chance of losing them and they are hard to get from the dealer.

Thats crazy this car was designed to do 120+ plus on the Autobahn. I've been there I've seen what these cars can do. I'm sure I've used mine at plus 85 mph and there still there the cars over 4 years old.

Default I've heard of them flying off too... but I've inadvertently used them at over 100 mph...

...and they're still on. I guess I got lucky because they're very flimsily mounted -- you can actually move them around in the down position and there's some play. I was surprised I didn't lose them at that speed.<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/larryvsig2.jpg">

Default Couple things....

- Be sure the headlights are ON (no need for clean lights if they aren't in use)
- Hold the washer stalk for at least 2-3 seconds
- Check the washer fluid level (the headlight washers use alot of fluid and if the level is too low, they will not work even though the windshield washers still work)

If that don't work, then have the dealer check it out.<p><a href="http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=161"</a><img SRC="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/a4registrydl.jpg" BORDER=0></a>
