Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades...
I've only had my '98.5 A4 for a couple of weeks and I can't stop thinking about all the things I want to do to it. I bought it used and it's about as close to bone stock as you can get, but I absolutely love it so far. I've already had to install a CD player and get a remote for it because I had gotten so used to those things on my old car ('97 Mustang GT) that I couldn't stand not having them.
I think I'm becoming obsessed with wheels and tires, suspension, chips, brakes, stereo equipment, etc. I've also become addicted to this board.
I guess I've already decided I'm going to order a GIAC chip and get myself some Miintex brake pads (I can NOT deal with that brake dust problem). But I also want some new wheels and tires because the Goodyears that the dealership put on just suck and I really don't like the stock Audi 15" wheels. Does anybody have any suggestions about that? I'm not sure if I want 16" or 17" wheels. How will they look with the stock suspension? I expect I'll upgrade the suspension somewhere down the line, but it'll have to wait a while. I want better handling, but I'm afraid of making it a rough ride (something I don't miss from the old Mustang). Price is definitely a consideration as I had 17s on my Mustang and it was a bit expensive to buy tires for them.
