Use of touchup paints. Any tips?
Everytime I use touchup paint on my car, I end up with a messy glob on my car. I follow the instructions that are on the bottle, but still, the results aren't as good as I hoped. Got any pointers as to how I should go about touching up a paint chip on my hood? Different brush? Thanks a lot.

Arggh I went through this 15 minutes ago..
With my car. Ok, use a toothpick with extremely small amounts at a time. Gravity is your friend in this altercation with the touch-up paint. With the application of miniscule amounts (toothpick) you should 'fill' the scratch. Once filled, apply a small amount of clear coat lacquer with another toothpick. Let dry for at least 12 hours.
