Default Used Ninja skills to weigh car.....

My friend and I went by a truck weigh-station to finally unravel the mystery of the car's weight.

the first sign at the entrance said "No cars".....but we figured...heck, we'll give the guy ten bucks to put the car on the scale.....

when we got to the little control tower, it seemed closed, no one in sight. My friend peeked into the little cabin and noticed that all the monitors were on....

so I put the car on the scale, he checked the number and we drove off with a hysterical laughter...

anyway, here's the weigh in:

1470kg (3240 lbs), almost full tank of gas, race wheels (but snow tires), some junk in the car,..maybe 20lbs max....

so we can estimate a dry weight of under 3200 lbs.

not too bad. I'm guessing that the savings from the race seats are erased by the weight of the rollbar.

regards,
Liam

Default Not too bad. I weighed mine on saturday with me in it and got 3175 lbs.

So that puts my car at 3035 with just over 1/8th tank of gas.

Did you get out of the car or does that include your weight as well?

Another way you can measure is go to a garbage dump. They have scales also.
