UUC short shift problem.

Yup, me too...
I'm sick with all this slop. It's like the ball was machined too small for the socket it sits in. If the car's not in gear and you pull up and push down on the stick, you can tell that there's at least 1mm of slop in the pivot.
I've also been told by others that this amount of slop is acceptable, but it still bothers be because I'm a bit of a perfectionist. It's kind of like a fly buzzing in my ear.
I've taken a look at a few guys' cars with Neuspeed SS kits and the problem didn't seem to exist with the Neuspeed shifter, so I bought one. I'll install it next week and post my comparison. We'll see if I can get used to the reduced height. I never liked that particular feature of the Neuspeed. Oh well.....rant over. ;-)
