Valeo question and pics of new interior piece
If I were to buy Valeo headlights and not get xenons, would I be able to take the xenon parts from my stock headlights and put them on the Valeos saving me 300 bucks or so? or could I get more money from selling my stock headlights, I dont really know what Im talking about hopefully someone understands this, and here is my new brushed aluminum shift surround from landspeed, got it for 95 shipped from someone on the forum, brand new they are 130 from landspeed, all in all, I dont think it was worth the money at all Im just gonna sell it and paint my stock piece. They just send you a piece of metal cut to fit and it has 3M double sided tape, doesnt even really fit right, the tape doesnt stick, but it does look really great and a adds a lot to the interior, just way too pricey

Greyhound Guy is right, if you currently have factory xenons, you would need to buy the xenon ecodes
those go for about $500 (as opposed to the halogen ecodes, which are about $300). however, you will be able to swap your current HID bulbs and ballasts directly, and the xenon ecodes are plug and play.
so you wouldn't need to buy new HIDs, but you would need to buy the more expensive ecodes.

no problem with that.
yes, you can put an H7 xenon kit in your stock headlamps if you're running stock halogen. most people just choose to get ecodes if they get HIDs to get the sharper beam pattern and focused light. i mean, why get HIDs if the light potential isn't gonna be fully harnessed?

there are two types of 1-piece e-code housings: halogen and xenon...
You will not be able to transfer your xenon guts (ballasts, auto levelling motors, etc) if you buy the halogen e-code housings.
That's why you need the xenon e-code housings, which have all the correct cutouts to house the xenon aperature. They are also called European S4 xenon housings at many places like SPP or AWE Tuning.
I did this swap a few months ago and then I sold my US-spec xenon housings. I doubt you'll get $300 for them though.

Yeah Im Confused
I have 99.5 one piece headlights I guess the Projectors or what you call Halogen? Has the little step and everything, and I was thinking about getting xenon...but would I have to buy ecodes to be able to do it, or could I just buy the guts and then replace them with my current guts inside my one piece that are on the car right now? Thanks again.
